"Work with pleasure and purpose" is a rough translation of the name of this group which meets the first Wednesday of the month from September through June.
Founded in 1938, the group has a variety of programs at their monthly meetings. Some are work nights to prepare for their rummage sales and bazaars and other money raising projects. Other meetings feature speakers or storytellers or other entertainment.
Being wholly non-profit they donate all their money to a variety of causes which they feel are of benefit to the greatest number of folks whose need is greater than theirs.
